INTERVIEW OUTFITS
The Interviewing process has many ways for insecurities to pop up. This can be especially intense after having a baby when your body/brain don't feel like your own - and no clothing you ever loved fits anymore.#letstalkclothes
Quick check-list for crushing your next interview outfit:
- Check the company's careers page photos to see what people are wearing to work as a way to gauge the formality expected
- BE COMFORTABLE. If you're physically uncomfortable and out of your element, that can easily come across as being uncomfortable with the role.
- Find (buy, discover, borrow) 1-2 outfits you feel good about for interviews and wear them on a few non-interview days so they feel comfortable for you
- Ensure you're professional enough for the industry, while also maintaining a bit of your own style
- Your body is likely not being interviewed/judged by anyone but yourself. Give yourself permission to focus on the work and what your bring to the table
- Plan with a friend and make it like prep for a fun night out
- Make a phone/prop plan prioritizing function #pocketsplease
- As with anything in life, make sure your outfit (and attitude) pass the Serena test:
